EKUKHANYENI – Relief Project 2016
AOS is proud to celebrate its 5th year in association with Ekukhanyeni Relief Project’s early childhood development programme.
As of 2016, AOS will be the major sponsor of the Grade R Action Kids Programme, which serves to equip children (aged 5 to 6) from the informal settlement of Lawley ext 3 with the care and early learning foundation necessary for entering formal schooling.
The programme offers not only an integrated skills development component, but also ensures that these vulnerable children are provided with nutritional support essential for their development.
Our sponsorship not only provides for the educational foundation of these youngsters, but contributes to Adult upskilling through the ETDP SETA Accreditation for ECD Level 4 training, building capacity within the community.
Aside from the financial sponsorship, AOS encourages active employee involvement with the crèches. During the year, we participate in various initiatives to show our commitment and support to the caregivers and children of Lawley ext 3.
We are both proud and privileged to be part of such a wonderful ECDP with Ekukhanyeni, and look forward to another year of making a difference in the lives of these children, our future leaders.
